E36s have been one of my favorite BMW chassis for a long time. They are affordable , fun, and a lot more capable on track than its predecessor (E30). Like any BMW generation, they all have problems, and E36 has its fair share. Between cooling issues, cheap door cards, or headliners sagging, these cars need attention after 25 years. But this does not mean we should give up! With BMW taking a weird design turn recently, the classic BMW shape will become more and more desirable in the future. The E36 M3 has already shot up to over $10,000 for a decent one, when a few years ago you could find them for half of that.
So with the prices going up, and our need to preserve them, there is one big E36 issue that needs to be addressed. This issue is not talked about much, but if you want to avoid rust, you need to perform this task once or twice a year. Check out the video below to find out what this issue is!
