Have slop in your steering? Has your rubber steering guibo wore out? We set out to solve this, and worked with a company that makes steering components for NASCAR. These high quality u joints are made specifically for the E30 BMW chassis. These u joints use caged needle bearings with a slight preload to completely eliminate backlash. The bearing trunnion is a single piece of hardened chromevanadium tool steel. The grease seals are high-durometer fluorocarbon o-rings in compression against the end surfaces of the needle bearing cups. This means the seals will resist sustained ovenlevel heat and will retain the bearing grease under severe conditions.

**On late model cars you will need to loosen the 32mm nut underneath the steering wheel to adjust the splined shaft up or down.

**PLEASE NOTE: To be able to achieve the most direct steering feel, our u joints are precisely machined to have the least amount of play. The OEM u joint uses a pinch bolt, making the tolerances a lot larger when installing. Our u joints use set screws and the tolerances are a higher to reduce any slop in the steering. Please make sure your splines are cleaned and not marred up. You may need to tap the u joint on with a rubber or dead blow hammer. Please do not use a metal hammer to hit the steering shaft on.
